The Islamic Center of Yorba Linda (ICYL) community first started gathering for Ramadan in 1996 and was formally established in 2006 with a vision to help people fall in love with Allah (God). Today, ICYL serves nearly 2,000 congregants through a set of programs which merge both practical and spiritual knowledge.
Al-Burooj Academy is incorporated as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in July 2017. We commit to providing quality education with affordable tuition fees. Additionally, we aim to support homeschooling students in their secular education. The King Fahad Mosque The mosque is significant within the Muslim community and is the principle public building in Islam. As a gift to the Muslim community of Southern California from Saudi Arabia, Prince Abdulaziz Bin Fahad Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Minister of State and Cabinet. Member, provided funding for the land, (1993) and King Fahad pledged funds for the construction of the building (1995). It will serve as both a religious and educational center for Muslims and non-Muslims, worldwide. Inside the Mosque the Qiblah (direction of prayer) was built facing towards the Ka’ba (mosque) in the city of Makkah in Saudi Arabia. This is the direction that all Muslims face when they pray. Following Islamic tradition there is: marble facade, hand made tiles from Turkey, and a 72 foot high minaret topped with a gold leaf crescent. The Minaret is an architectural-symbol of Islam. Covering 63,000 square feet it is comprised of a central prayer area, an auditorium, conference rooms, and modern amenities for wudu (a-self-purification process performed prior to prayers). This Mosque Does NOT Receive Any Funds From Overseas And All Expenses Are Paid By The Congregants Who Come To Pray Every Day As Donations. Sheikh Al – Islam Ibn Taymiyah Foundation Ibn Taymiyah Foundation has supervised the project of King Fahd mosque in Los Angeles since its commencement. It is responsible for management and future activities. The establishment of this foundation dates back to 1400H (1980). Its activities began in the “Muslim Student House” in the city’s western part. The idea developed further and a house was purchased in the same area for prayers, lectures and Dawa activities. The foundation is an Islamic charity organization legally recognized by the official US. authorities. it is exempted from taxes, entitled to own property and practice religious, educational, informational and intellectual activities throughout the United States. The Fusion Muslim Community Center aspires to provide a safe environment to youth, adults and senior members of Paramus whereas everyone can share their great values irrespective of all faiths. The center provides great amenities to the youth such as counseling for substance abuse, after school tutoring, a gaming room, sports and other outdoor activities as well as hiking and camping. For adults, it offers yoga classes, marriage counseling, newlywed counseling and workshops on healthy living, social media classes, gardening classes, a day care service for both children and seniors.
