In order for man and mankind to achieve this state, man needs to focus internally first on himself. Imam Al-Ghazali states, “Every servant whose heart is free from deceit, hatred, envy, and evil intent; and whose limbs are unblemished by sins and forbidden actions, and whose attributes are not affected by inversion and reversal, will be one who comes to God the most high with a flawless heart.” Not achieving this could lead to, “an inversion of his attributes I mean that his reason will be imprisoned by his passion and anger..”
