I'm a Dentist and a Leadership and Mindset Consultant. I run @themuslim_sisterhood on Instagram and the my missionn is unity and solidarity within the Muslim Ummah.
A much needed step toward building community, promoting unity and celebrating diversity in our Ummah!

I don't know about you but when someone gets me a gift, there is a sense of love that grows within me for that person. And then there is a need for reciprocity in the form of a thank you card or a thank you email that would let them know how much I appreciated them thinking about me and how special it made me feel. I might even write how I already started using their gift because it was just that useful. I feel this way when humans give me gifts but often I take the gifts I get from Allah SWT for granted. So, I decided, I would write thank you cards to Allah SWT and here is one I wrote today. Would you like to give it a try? Make a thank you card for Allah SWT and send it over as a DM or post it and use the hashtag #themuslim_sisterhood. Salaam, Sanaa @themuslim_sisterhood

I had the honor to be reminded of this yesterday by @dr.raniaawaad at the Wellness Conference by @therahmahfoundation: we were created to worship Allah SWT.
So that breakfast that you made this morning, that was worshipping Allah SWT because you were nourishing his Amanah, your body.
That hug that you gave your child this morning was worshipping Allah SWT because you were raising His creation that he put you responsible for, with love and safety.
It's a mindset shift from: I have to do this TO I am worshipping my Lord in this, so I feel privileged to do this. And boy does it change everything.
Salaam,

Checking on a fellow sister on Jummah has become a weekly tradition here at the Muslim Sisterhood. So what do you do? 1. Pick a sister that you want to check in on 2. Send them a quick DM and ask them how their week was. 3. Once you've sent the message, put a đ in the comments đ so we can all be inspired by the connections that are forming. Here's to connecting with sisters. Salaam, Sanaa @themuslim_sisterhood #muslimah #muslimsisters #muslims #muslim #jummah #ummah #themuslim_sisterhood P. S. For extra credit (I'm a sucker for extra credit), share this post far and wide through your network so more sisters start checking on each other. Let's make this an Ummah wide tradition Insha'Allah.

Did you marvel at anything this week?
Maybe how the birds manage to fight gravity so easily.
Maybe how a newborn knows to use their lungs after being in fluid for so long.
Maybe how a poet has such a beautiful way with words.
For me, it was a clear but almost shy sunset nestled under a cloudy sky. Subhanallah.
What was it for you?
Salaam,
Sanaa @themuslim_sisterhood
